Fancy potholder weaving pattern (no. 6)

I'm getting low on my loop supply and don't really have enough loops to make another potholder. I still do have a lot of burgundy and autumn loops, though.


So I tried a challenging two-color pattern called a Two-Two Twill Diamond pattern using these colors. About halfway through making this potholder, though, it looked kind of drab, so I changed the pattern a bit by adding a third color: a few turquoise loops on the 2nd, 9th, and 17th pegs.


I found this pattern on Piglet's Potholder Patterns site, an amazing collection of free patterns (she also includes a chart for this pattern for 27-peg looms).


This is the most challenging pattern I've tried, mainly because each row is different. I kept getting mixed up and having to redo rows. I'm not sure if I've woven this pattern 100% correctly, so be sure to check the link above for the pattern chart. I think next time I'll print out the chart and use a ruler to keep track of the rows!
