After several months of making earth-tone potholders, I wanted to make some potholders with brighter colors. As I browsed the Friendly Loom site, I added ten colors to my shopping cart. But...the loops are kind of expensive (though high quality). So, I narrowed it down to four colors: yellow, daffodil, turquoise, and winter white.
Here are a couple of potholders I made with these colors:
Pattern No. 1
Vertical from left to right: Attach two turquoise, one daffodil, two yellow, one daffodil (repeat) is the same as vertical.
Horizontal from bottom left to top: Use the same pattern as the horizontal pattern above. Weave in two turquoise, one daffodil, two yellow, one daffodil, repeat.
Pattern No. 2
Vertical: Follow the pattern below (one turquoise, two white, one turquoise, etc.)
Horizontal: Weave in horizontal loops with the same pattern as in step one (one turquoise, two white, one turquoise, etc.) above:
